Spring Volleyball at Ashbury Starts April 15th

The winter seasons are reaching their conclusion with a couple of weeks to go at Ashbury and Redeemer and winter 2014 is already in the books at Carleton U. Congratulations to The Blocking Dead who followed up their unofficial "best name of the season" award with a 2 sets to 1 victory over Unprotected Sets in the Division A final. Block Obama and Keep Calm and Smash On also claimed their respective divisions.

Thank you to everyone taking part over the fall and winter. We had 60 teams playing across the three venues during the winter league, and the spirit and sportsmanship has been fantastic throughout..

Next up for Volley Sixes comes our spring and summer leagues. The Spring League at Ashbury College begins a week on Tuesday and we currently have space for 3 more teams and a handful of individuals. The season runs for 8 weeks from April 15th to June 3rd at Ashbury's air conditioned double gymnasium. Game times will be 7pm, 8 pm and 9pm and the format will be a 6 or 7 game regular season followed by playoffs. The cost is just $450 for a team or $65 per individual and team spots can be reserved with a $250 deposit.

After a week's hiatus, the action will shift to Carleton University  on June 17th for the start of our Carleton University Summer league. The summer league will be an 11 week season and run through until the end of August. Team slots cost $625 and $90 per individual.

Have a great summer everyone, as always you can find details on the Volley Sixes website, or by e-mailing
